Aragona Palace Hotel & Spa

Since after many years we were no longer comfortable in the hotel where we used to go, we wanted to try the Aragona Palace and it was an excellent choice, both for the location and for the services it offers. The hotel is located in an optimal position, convenient to the hydrofoil landing/departure, close to the small restaurants overlooking Via del Porto, and convenient for both the beach and walks in the center. We chose a superior room with a harbor view and the view was indeed pleasant; the medium-sized room featured dated, minimal decor, as did the bathroom with some malfunctioning elements: the entire hotel is in need of renovation and modernization. The room cleaning was thorough throughout the entire period. The staff in all departments is professional and very friendly: the reception girls are helpful, they welcomed us very well, and the check-in was fast; the night porter Claudio is very nice; in the restaurant, the maitre d' Antonella and Radia are very kind and attentive to the customer's needs, while the other two girls have rude behavior that is inadequate for a 4-star hotel; Imma from the spa was capable and very sweet. The dining is good for both breakfast and dinner: breakfast is varied and abundant, and at dinner various dishes are offered, especially from Campanian cuisine, therefore quite sophisticated and heavy, and the portions are generous. The Wi-Fi worked well in the room. The pool and solariums on the 5th floor and upper floors would have great potential if they were maintained: many umbrellas are broken, the bar is always closed, and no one was ever seen cleaning around the pool or in the solariums. However, it was a pleasant stay, we will return and we recommend it, hoping for a modernization starting with the replacement of the very heavy key with modern cards!

Unkind staff, very exaggerated prices for what they offer you. Unpleasant food, poor buffet. After 2 meals I felt sick with a stomachache and it didn't just happen to me. There were other couples with the same problem. They even charge for water at meals. I do not recommend it.

Very kind, helpful, and always present staff. Good cuisine, typical of the area. In a 4-star hotel, I would not have expected a lack of air conditioning. 40 degrees outside, same in the common areas including the rooms. System to be reviewed, including certain fixtures that were not always soundproofed. Price above the offer

August 2026 stay, superb at the hotel. Very kind and attentive staff, a big thank you especially to Radia and the head waiter for their attention and their excellent service. Thanks to them our meals were very pleasant. Very hearty breakfast. We also appreciated the hotel's location in the immediate vicinity of the port, restaurants, shops, and transport. Everything can be done on foot. Do not hesitate to also ask for a room on a high floor. We highly recommend this hotel
