Fabulous hotel

This hotel is in the perfect location set above Ischia port with views over Procida, the mainland and Vesuvius. Yes you'll have a 10-15 minute walk into town but it's worth every step. On reception Joe and Anna could not do enough to share local knowledge and help me organise my week. Anna helped me plan a walk up Mt Epomeo and Joe guided me to a coastal morning run. Dario and the restaurant team made my heart sing with personal, friendly service and amazing breakfast. The rooms are traditionally Italian with patterned tiles and it's a bit dated but immaculately clean - it's not Premier Inn and so much better for it. As a solo traveller I felt part of a little family at Le Querce and very much hope to be back soon.

What an amazing hotel. We were delighted to arrive, it was STUNNING. Exceeded our expectations. Incredible pool over looking the water, plenty of sunbeds, decorated with ornate tiles, lemon trees and tasteful decor everywhere, and then our room - a huge patio overlooking the water, a huge room with plenty of luggage space, tea/coffee facilities, wifi, great air-con, a comfy bed, quiet room, beautifully & tastefully decorated. This hotel was a fantastic choice in Ischia. It has the local bus right outside the front door that takes you into town for 3euro, and a shuttle bus for free if you can make the schedule they have set. The hotel is probably a 10 min drive to the port/town, you could walk DOWN the hill, if you could be bothered, but the shuttle or the local bus is easy. Also, by the pool, there's plenty of sunbeds and they give you towels. Norma and the team at the desk couldn't have helped us more, we went up there to reception every day with lots of questions to rent boats, how to get around the island, and how to get to town, ( they were so kind and helped us so much, esp Norma!! grazie mille) and we loved our stay here. The pool overlooks the water, with a bar and restaurant attached, so you can literally sit there all day with the stunning views of the island and enjoy this. There is a beach/rocky pontoon down the cliff, which we found too steep to get down as the stairs tilted forward and the stairs were VERY steep and there's 279 of them to get down and the railing is too low, so we missed out on enjoying the beach pontoon, but for the very brave who don't have a fear of heights you'll get to enjoy this. We loved sitting in the different patios and having our morning coffee, and our own deck overlooking the mainland, and the island of Ischia and the water. A stunning hotel, worth the money and we only wished we had booked to stay longer. But... we will return!

Disappointing. We feel their online description is purposefully misleading, and behavior unprofessional

We recently stayed at this hotel. Some of the people working there were very pleasant. However, generally, we were extremely disappointed. First, though a welcome drink is listed in their description, we were not offered one. When we arrived, we were not permitted to enjoy any of the hotel amenities. Upon checking in, which was around 1830, no one told us that the amenities would not be available to us. We started to enter the pool, but a worker yelled at us in front of the other patrons, indicating the pool was closed. That is how we found out that the amenities were not available to is. Also, upon checking in, we were told we could reserve dinner or order a la carte. But almost immediately, we were told the meal service was not available to us. As the evening wore on, we watched other patrons enjoy their meals among empty tables. We are unclear as to why the meal service was not available to us. We feel perhaps there is a reason we were being treated in this way. Also, the hotel boasts a private beach area, when, in reality, they do not have a beach area. The balcony in the room did not have any type of view, only plants and satelite dishes that disrupt the view of the sea. I have stayed in many extraordinary accommodations around the world. This is not one of them.

Incredible Ischia

This hotel is beyond fabulous in some parts and a bit rubbish in others. A cross between White Lotus and Fawlty Towers. Firstly, the location of the hotel is outstanding - incredible views that actually make all the little faults a bit irrelevant. The building itself is old - probably built in the 1960s/1970s and this means it's spacious but dated. The furniture in my room must have been 40 years old and the shower and plug were really rusty. A basic bit of maintenance would clear this up. Air con was good. Wifi was ok mostly. Staff were hit and miss. On reception, Anna and Norma were excellent - efficient and friendly. The night receptionist was on duty at 6am the morning we left and was either drunk or stoned and wittered on about Napoli being a women and touching her between the legs, which was pretty unpleasant for us to hear. In the restaurant/bar we found the staff (Frederica, Manuela, Joanna & Enrico especially) very friendly as we did the Bar Manager & Restaurant manager. The food is of a good quality and a reasonable price point. It's silly & frustrating there's no casual bar/pool menu and that you can't get snack outside of exact meal times, especially when you're staying in this isolated area. A 4 star hotel should serve day time food. Pool area was nice as was beach pontoon (though a steep walk up/down!) Towels are tired and should be replaced. The spa bit is not very nice - mouldy and didn't feel very clean. It's about 20 min from town centre. Hotel provide a handy shuttle service. On the whole I would return for the views and I feel the hotel is appropriately priced.

Map

From the port of Ischia a little road winds its way up the green hill overlooking the sea. Here, amidst what have to be the island's most luxurious villas, you'll find Hotel Le Querce. The sea, the historic center and the Aragon Castle are all just a few minutes away.

From the hotel's sun-drenched terraces, beautiful views of nearby Procida and the islet of Vivara can be seen. In the distance, it's easy to identify Pozzuoli, Campi Flegrei, Naples and the imposing profile of Vesuvius.

Ferries and hydrofoils sail from Naples to Ischia on a regular basis. In the summer, boats sail between Ischia and Capri, Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi too.
