Marina 10 Boutique & Design Hotel

I come from Milan, I decided to spend 5 days of vacation in Ischia and stay at this Marina 10 Boutique & Design Hotel & Spa in Casamicciola and I had a good time, the staff is very kind, the price is good and the services are excellent.

We stayed for two nights at Hotel Marina 10 and unfortunately the experience did not live up to expectations. The photos online show rooms that look much larger and better maintained than they are in reality. Our room was really very small, with space reduced to a minimum, so much so that it was difficult to move around comfortably. The property presents itself as a 4-star hotel, but we honestly do not believe that the standards are those of this category. Several aspects should be reviewed to justify such a classification. Upon our arrival, while accompanying us to the room, we were told that the property was equipped with state-of-the-art systems against insects and mosquitoes. In reality, apart from a simple plug-in mosquito repellent, the situation was quite different. The small terrace was full of insects and there were numerous mosquitoes inside the room as well. To be able to sleep, we were forced to buy an insecticide spray at our own expense and personally disinfect the room. We strongly advise the property to carry out a serious pest control treatment. Upon arrival, we were also informed that the spa was not usable due to maintenance issues. We understand that unforeseen events can happen, but it would have been correct to inform guests before arrival, given that it is a service advertised by the property. Among the included services, an aperitif by the pool was also planned. Unfortunately, it was never held during our stay because we were told that the staff was absent due to illness. We understand the situation, but the customer should not be penalized for internal organizational problems. Breakfast was very disappointing: limited selection, predominantly industrial products, frozen croissants, and little variety. From a hotel that defines itself as 4 stars, one definitely expects a richer offering, with fresh products and greater attention to quality. At the time of check-out, after paying for our stay, we politely pointed out some of the critical issues encountered, with the sole intent of providing constructive feedback. Unfortunately, the manager reacted by getting upset and responding to us in an unprofessional manner, without showing any willingness to listen or interest in a customer's observations. This attitude left an even more negative impression of the entire experience. Finally, a more general reflection: In recent years, Ischia seems to want to chase after destinations like Mykonos or Miami, with increasingly high prices, but without offering services that are truly up to par. The risk is that the island will become less and less accessible to tourists, losing that genuineness and hospitality that made it famous. Overall, considering the price-quality ratio, the missing services, and the property's handling of our observations, we do not feel we can recommend this hotel.

It is a no-frills hotel that does not aim to impress with ostentatious luxury. The rooms are not particularly large, but they are clean, comfortable, and well-kept. What really makes the difference is the hospitality: rare, authentic, and impeccable. From the very first moment, we felt like guests and not just customers. The first thing that won me over was the breakfast: rich, well-prepared, and with quality products. Every morning it was a pleasure to start the day with homemade pastries, local specialties, fresh fruit, eggs and omelets, and a relaxed atmosphere, accompanied by a staff that was always smiling and attentive. The staff is one of the hotel's true strengths. Everyone, from the reception to the breakfast room, up to the SPA staff, works with professionalism and a spontaneous kindness that is increasingly difficult to find today. You can sense the desire to make guests feel good, with attention to detail and availability at every moment. I spent several moments in the pool, always quiet and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the island. The snack bar was also very pleasant, where we had lunch several times: dishes with fresh ingredients and always friendly service. The best moment, however, was the one dedicated to wellness. The spa is elegant, very clean, and very well-maintained. I chose a relaxing massage and it was a truly special experience: the masseur was very good, professional, and capable of melting away every tension. The Marina 10 is not a hotel that impresses with special effects, but with something much more important: the quality of hospitality. You can perceive the passion with which everything is managed and that family atmosphere that makes you feel truly at home. If you are looking for a place to relax, be welcomed as if you were the only ones there, and experience a few days of authentic well-being, this hotel truly deserves a visit.

Our experience at Marina 10 was wonderful. Every member of the staff was welcoming and extremely helpful from helping us navigate the island to recommending restaurants. They are amazing people in a time when gracious service is hard to find. The area is great with shops and restaurants nearby and the ferry terminal across the street. Rooms were comfortable and very clean with a delightful private patio area. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of choices and a wonderful barista. The grounds are very attractive and well kept. An added bonus was wonderful massages that we all booked at the spa. A very pleasant stay. We would definitely stay again!
