The view from here at Sweet Poseidon is magical and spectacular. Antonio's service is impeccable, and the Ischitan-style rooms are very comfortable. Highly recommended!!!

Cute hotel with kind and helpful staff

For the money, this is the best hotel experience we could have hoped for. The location is a little out-of-the-way, but the owner Antonio picked us up from the bus stop upon our arrival, and also was kind enough to ferry our luggage to the port at Forio on our departure day. We had a decent sized, clean room, which was all we needed. The views from the outdoor dining room, where we had morning breakfasts and one dinner, are lovely. Breakfast included fresh fruit, small cakes, and bread and cheese. Although we could have eaten at Sweet Poseidon every evening - the night we chose to eat on-site was delicious - we opted to catch a bus into town and explore restaurants. Be warned that larger taxis can't fit on via Costa so if you take a taxi, make sure it's a small one.

What about... this is the seventh time we return... And that would be enough... But I want to emphasize, if necessary, that now when we arrive we feel at home... The reception and availability are always at the top. Antonio and his mother Titina with their home cooking spoil us... Giusy (Antonio's sister) pampers us with the desserts prepared every day by her, and Tiziana (Antonio's wife) with her kindness and sympathy always welcomes us with affection and ... in case you need advice with her expertise (she is a nutritionist), and Natalia (their collaborator) is always very kind and helpful with her beautiful smile. The location is great for going to the Poseidon Gardens and the view from the room is spectacular... The cleanliness is perfect and the peace you enjoy (total absence of traffic noise) is maximum. Thank you all, keep it up... and see you next Mario and Doretta

In paradise as part of a big family

We - me and my wife- spend 14 days in Ischia, a piece of paradise. The weather was perfect, the atmosphere romantic and the feelings of being alive and enjoying it all makes, for us, a sensation to be in heaven. The sea, the food,... a dream. But it won’t be like this in another place. Cause Sweet Poseidon fitted for us. The manager, sweet Antonio, and his family, treated us like family members. Everything we need (even a minibar in our room) was prompted provided by Antonio. The room itself, with a breathtaking view, was pretty comfortable. And a very good breakfast was available. (to dinner, local food prepared by the ‘family hosts’) We will go back FOR SURE, and always in this wonderful place.

Sweet Poseidon is at Via Costa 79, on the hillside above Forio d'Ischia, overlooking the bay of Citara. The Giardini di Poseidon thermal park is within walking distance. The centre of Forio is served by the hotel shuttle. The property is accessible by car or scooter; larger taxis cannot navigate Via Costa, so guests are advised to take a small taxi or use the hotel's own shuttle.
