Our secret in Ischia - Oh wait, not a secret anymore!

Sweet Poseidon is jewel on the Island of Ischia. My wife and I are Americans living in the Naples area, and we took the weekend to go to the Poseidon Gardens Thermal Park in Forio. Because of the outstanding reviews here on Tripadvisor, we decided to try Sweet Poseidon Bed and Breakfast. The owners Antonio and Tiziana did not disappoint us. We have traveled all over the world and our goal is always to get to know the locals and immersion in the culture. Their families have been living on Ischia for generations and they, along with Antonio's father Nicola and mother Tina, took great care of us - driving us to the thermal park and to the port when we needed it. Breakfast was excellent, and the wild rabbit dinner was phenomenal. Rooms were outstanding. We loved the family atmosphere and highly recommend them for your stay in Ischia. By the way, you can rent one of their cars for 15 euro per day and explore the island. They are almost always full so get your reservation in as soon as you can. We will certainly be back at least two more times before the Poseidon Gardens Thermal park closes on 31 October.

We brought our 18 year old daughter on this trip to Ischia for three nights and two full days at the Poseidon Gardens thermal spa. Antonio and Tiziana, and Antonio's parents are such wonderful hosts! The rooms are superior and the view from their balcony is spectacular! We like the half-board with the dinner in the evening on the terrace. Wonderful Italian dishes. Breakfast is typical Italian - love the coffee! Antonio will take you into Forio or pick you up. He also has a car you can rent if you wish. The Poseidon Thermal Spa is a botanical garden, Greek and Roman archeological site, and has numerous mineral pools. No chlorine here as it is hot mineral water from underground hot springs. Great for couples on a relaxation weekend. We highly recommend Sweet Poseidon!

The view is fabulous. Food was excellent. Swimming pool was a real treat. Shuttle bus into town and a pick up from the bus stop was a brilliant touch. Top tip if you are driving yourself be sure to contact the owners for directions in advance. We didn't and the route we took was very very narrow, we only just fitted and we were in a small car. The route the owners recommend that we learnt of after arriving is absolutely fine.

In paradise as part of a big family

We - me and my wife- spend 14 days in Ischia, a piece of paradise. The weather was perfect, the atmosphere romantic and the feelings of being alive and enjoying it all makes, for us, a sensation to be in heaven. The sea, the food,... a dream. But it won’t be like this in another place. Cause Sweet Poseidon fitted for us. The manager, sweet Antonio, and his family, treated us like family members. Everything we need (even a minibar in our room) was prompted provided by Antonio. The room itself, with a breathtaking view, was pretty comfortable. And a very good breakfast was available. (to dinner, local food prepared by the ‘family hosts’) We will go back FOR SURE, and always in this wonderful place.
